3D Secure Authentication – For higher-risk transactions (e.g., large orders, international shipping to high-fraud regions), Stripe may trigger 3D Secure (Verified by Visa, Mastercard SecureCode, Amex SafeKey). You’ll receive a one-time code via SMS or email to confirm your identity. This extra step prevents unauthorized use of your card.
Address Verification System (AVS) – We compare the billing address you provide with the address on file at your bank. Mismatches may flag the transaction for manual review. Please enter your billing address exactly as it appears on your card statement.
Card Verification Value (CVV) Requirement – We always require the 3- or 4-digit security code on your card. Never share this code with anyone claiming to be from “Kawaii Nails support”—we will never ask for it outside of our secure checkout.
What We Do NOT Store
Unlike some retailers, we never:

Payment Troubleshooting – Common Issues & Solutions
“My card was declined even though I have money.”
Possible reasons:

Your bank blocked the transaction – Some banks flag beauty supply purchases as “unusual.” Call your bank’s fraud department to authorize future purchases from “KAWAII NAILS LLC / STRIPE.”

Incorrect billing address – Double-check the address you entered matches your card statement exactly (including “St.” vs. “Street”).

International transaction block – U.S. cards may block charges from processors based outside the country (Stripe is U.S.-based, but some banks mistakenly flag it). Contact your bank.

Daily purchase limit – Your card may have a 500,1,000, or $2,500 daily cap. Split large orders across multiple days or use a different payment method.

Insufficient funds – Obvious but overlooked: confirm your available credit limit or checking account balance.
What to do: Wait 10 minutes and try again (occasional Stripe network errors resolve quickly). If still declined, use a different card or contact your bank.
“I was charged twice!”
Stripe occasionally creates an “authorization hold” followed by the actual charge. The hold typically drops off within 3–7 business days. If both transactions post as completed charges (not holds), email us at klarrisacassondra27780@gmail.com with your order number and a screenshot of your bank statement. We will refund the duplicate immediately.
“Can I pay with a gift card or prepaid card?”
Yes, if the card has a Visa, Mastercard, Amex, or Discover logo and is registered with a billing address. However, we cannot split a single order across multiple gift cards. If your gift card doesn’t have enough balance, you’ll need a second payment method (we do not currently support split payments).
“Do you accept checks or money orders?”
No. For security and efficiency, we are 100% card-only (including digital wallets). We cannot accept cash, checks, money orders, wire transfers, or cryptocurrency.
“What about purchase orders (POs) from schools or large salons?”
We do not offer net terms or PO invoicing for standard orders. However, approved B2B customers (schools, salons with established history) may qualify for net-30 terms after completing a credit application. Email klarrisacassondra27780@gmail.com with subject “B2B NET-30 APPLICATION” to request the form.
Refunds & Chargebacks – Our Fair Process
Refunds (You Change Your Mind or Product is Defective)
Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5–7 business days after we receive and inspect returned items (see Refund and Return Policy for details).

Credit/debit cards: Refund appears on your statement within 2–7 business days depending on your bank.

Apple Pay / Google Pay: Refund goes back to the card linked to your digital wallet. You’ll see it in your wallet transaction history.

Store credit: If you prefer not to wait for a card refund, we can issue store credit instantly (usable on any future purchase).
Chargebacks (Disputing a Charge with Your Bank)
If you believe a charge is fraudulent or unauthorized, we strongly encourage contacting us first before filing a chargeback. Most issues (duplicate charges, missing orders, wrong items) can be resolved faster through our customer service team.
If you file a chargeback without contacting us:

Pricing & Currency
All prices on kawaiinails.shop are listed in U.S. Dollars (USD) . For international customers, your bank or card issuer converts the charge to your local currency at their exchange rate (plus any foreign transaction fees they charge).
We do NOT charge:

What you see is what you pay in USD. Your bank’s conversion rate determines the final amount in your currency.
Taxes
We are required to collect sales tax for orders shipped to addresses in New Mexico (where our warehouse is located). The current combined state + local rate varies by zip code (typically 7–8.5%). Sales tax is calculated automatically at checkout.
For all other U.S. states: We do not collect sales tax. However, you may be required to remit use tax to your state directly (you are responsible for understanding your local tax laws).
International orders: Customs duties, import taxes, and VAT are the responsibility of the buyer. We cannot predict or prepay these fees. Check with your local customs office before ordering.
